This is one awesome story a friend of mine sent me in the email a few years ago. I loved the story that time and today again. So I decided to share with you here. Hope you enjoy it as well and the lesson that comes along. Here goes the story:

This young man wished to marry the farmer's beautiful daughter. Therefore, he went to the farmer to ask for his permission for this marriage.

The farmer looked him over and said, "Son, go stand out in that field. I'm going to release three bulls, one at a time. If you can catch the tail of any one of the three bulls, you can marry my daughter."

A little boy was playing outdoors and found a fascinating caterpillar. He carefully picked it up and took it home to show his mother. He asked his mother if he could keep it, and she said he could if he would take good care of it.

The little boy got a large jar from his mother and put plants to eat, and a stick to climb on, in the jar. Every day he watched the caterpillar and brought it new plants to eat.

This Akbar – Birbal story is just one of the many stories, which are an integral part of rich Indian heritage. I received this story in email from a friend that talks about why you should wisely choose where and how you spend your money.

The wisdom of Birbal was unparalleled during the reign of Emperor Akbar. But Akbar’s brother in law was extremely jealous of him. He asked the Emperor to dispense with Birbal’s services and appoint him in his place. He gave ample assurance that he would prove to be more efficient and capable than Birbal. Before Akbar could take a decision on this matter, this news reached Birbal.
