Why Wunderlist Is My Favorite Task Management System

Kumar Gauraw

Since I read the book The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People a decade ago, I have tried different task management systems, calendars and sometimes, made my own and tried. As technologies kept changing, better tools have been coming and I enjoy trying and using new tools.

Wunderlist Task Manager - Free Application

When it comes to task management, I have tried HiTask, Things and a few others, but the one I have been very happy with is – Wunderlist.

There are a few paid task management services that are as powerful and come with more features. However, Wunderlist is  FREE and does a great job as my task manager.

If you have only relied on Google Calendar for your task management or if you are looking for a task management software tool that can help you keep track of your day, here are a few reasons to consider Wunderlist:

Elegant – Beautiful Interface

Wunderlist manages your tasks with a few focused features for organization, all within a beautiful interface. The choices of setting the skin for the interface, the simple yet beautiful presentation of tasks drew my attention. It has very intutive interface that makes entering, settting priorities and due dates very easy.

Cloud Based Synchronization

Everything is instantly synced in the cloud and pushed to every other device you have running Wunderlist on. I find that very powerful especially while I need to be a different locations at different times. I never have to worry and my task list is always with me. This is just awesome!

Use From Almost Every Device

I use Wunderlist on my desktops, my iPad, and on my iPhone. It is also available on Android and MAC OSX. As a result, I always have my cloud-synced task management system with me, no matter what device I am using. The iPhone app in particular is a delight. I can't put enough importance to the looks. I love the way this thing looks!

Easy To Use

There are not many features to speak of in Wunderlist, but its minimalist focus is what makes it work so nicely. Aside from being really pretty, the interface is straightforward and easy to use. You can create lists, add tasks, decide when they're due, and search and sort through everything you add.

Feature Rich Task Management

You can sort todos into multiple lists. You can set due dates if you want to. And you can “Star” tasks that are must do. Need to share a list with a spouse or even a co-worker? Wunderlist does that, too. This is very useful for shared todo lists or grocery lists.

Wunderlist strikes the perfect balance between design, simplicity, and productivity power.

The more I use Wunderlist, the more I am impressed. It’s not perfect – but it is better than anything else I have found on the market for FREE. The product is at once simple to use and yet full of features that I was looking for. I love it's looks and the email it sends every morning with the list of tasks I need to complete for the day! It's just awesome and I feel very comfortable recommending.
