As an entrepreneur, soon after starting my first business, I realized that starting a business and then managing it properly is way more complicated than I originally thought it would be. In my case though, I did not even expect to make any money. I just started out to learn what it means to be in business for myself. I wanted to get a taste of entrepreneurship.

However, on the way, I started to believe more and therefore, started to commit more towards making it happen. I think it all worked out great in my case since I started with no expectations.

What I’ve noticed though is, almost everyone who has worked for someone has at some point thought about going into business for themselves. It’s a great idea and because you can work for yourself, express your own creativity, and if you’re lucky, you may even have absolute financial freedom.

Just a few weeks after I had finished reading and writing my book review on the awesome Go for No! Yes is the Destination, No is How You Get There, I had an opportunity to grab a copy of Bypassing NO in Business – Selling Your Ideas with Ease, an awesome new book by Vincent Harris and Harlan H. Goerger full of new body language and influence strategies to eliminate or reduce resistance to anything.

I love to read the research reports and I am very impressed at the first sight when I found out that this book was based on a 20 years of research work. And true to the claim, the book has distinct 30 new ideas spread across it’s well organized 30 little chapters with amazing illustrations.

Zig Ziglar – Inspiring Life Lessons From The Motivator

The superstar motivational speaker and personal development legend, Zig Ziglar passed away on November 28^th, 2012 at age 86. The sad news came along with this quote from him that has been a driving force in my life:

He was known for his clever way with words that inspired millions of people around the world to stop looking for shortcuts to success; and instead, earn it the old-fashioned way by rolling up their sleeves and getting to work.

His book, See You at the Top: 25th Anniversary Edition has been my all-time favorite. The incredible life lessons he shared in this book have inspired people from all walks of life around the world to take charge and make a difference in their lives.
